NCL GM, staff abducted

Vijayawada, Jun 20 (UNI) The whereabouts of Nagarjuna Cement Limited (NCL) General Manager Rama Raju and his accountant Galib Saheb, who were kidnapped by some unidentified men from a construction site at Kadimpotavaram Village in G Konduru Mandal last night, was yet to be known.

Police sources told UNI here today the armed miscreants reportedly approached Mr Raju for discussing some contract issue. Later, they whisked him away along with his Accountant Galib Saheb in a Tata Sumo.

The miscreants reportedly opened fire in the air when some people and security personnel tried to thwart the kidnap attempt.

Police began search operation to trace the two men.
