Naxals kill SPO

Jagdalpur, June 20 (UNI) A Special Police Officer (SPO) and a villager were today stabbed to death by Naxals at Singarbhata village in Chhattisgarh's Dantewada district, police said.

Five SPOs had gone for shoping at the weekly market in the village this evening when around six Naxals attacked them.

Four SPOs managed to escape but one SPO Dukaluram and a villager Hirna were killed.

Earlier, seven villagers were fatally beaten by 'lathis' while two sustained severe gunshot wounds after around 250 naxals attacked Chikalguda village in Dantewada district.
