Hyderabad, June 20 (UNI) Ending the weak phase of Southwest Monsoon since June eight, Andhra Pradesh is likely to see the revival of the monsoon in the next two to three days following the formation of a low pressure over the west Central Bay of Bengal.

''Conditions are favourable for strengthening of southwest monsoon over the state in the next two to three days,'' Hyderabad Meterological Office Director Satya Kumar said here today.

Talking to UNI, Mr Kumar said, ''Monsoon activity is likely to increase after 48 hours.'' A bulletin issued by the Cyclone Warning Centre said rain or thundershoweres are likely at many places over the coastal region under the influence of the trough of low pressure with isolated heavy rain.

Hyderabadis woke up to heavy showers, which inundated low-lying areas, causing inconvenience to commuters. One or two spells of rain or thundershowers are expected in parts of the twin-cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.

Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur all over the regions of the State.

Hindupur and Tadipatri received five mm rainfall and Narsapur, Dharmavaram, NagarjunaSagar dam three cm each.
