Low pressure develops over Bay of Bengal

Chennai, Jun 20 (UNI) A trough of low pressure running over North-west and South-east Bay of Bengal, has developed over East Central Bay.

Weather office sources here said the development of the system, though seasonal, would bring rain or thundershowers in a few places over Tamil Nadu.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur in few places over Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry in the next 24 hours, the sources said.

The city and its suburbs would be partly cloudy with rain or thundershowers at one or two places, they added.
