Kumaraswamy to expand Ministry tomorrow
Bangalore, June 20 (UNI) The 20-member Janata Dal (S)-Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) coalition ministry in Karnataka will be expanded tomorrow with the induction of four ministers from each party.
Talking to newspersons here today, Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy said within the next couple of days, he would also undertake appointment of political heads to various Boards and Corporations. He indicated that the ruling coalition partners would have ten nominees each in these postings.
The coalition government was formed on February three last after the JD (S) parted ways with the Congress and allied with the BJP.
First Mr Kumaraswamy of the JD (S) and Mr B S Yediyurappa of the BJP were sworn in as Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister respectively. Fourteen days later the first expansion took place with 11 BJP members and nine JD(S) members joining the ministry.
