Fortinet's security software bags Virus Bulletin 100% Award

Bangalore, June 20 (UNI) Fortinet, a leading multi-threat security solutions provider, today announced that its FortiClient Host Security software has earned its third Virus Bulletin (VB) 100 per cent award for its exemplary virus-detection capabilities.

FortiClient showed a major performance boost over the past several VB 100 per cent tests due to optimisation in the anti-virus engine and its signatures, according to a company release here.

The VB 100 per cent awards recognise products that have been tested by independent experts and proven to accurately detect 100 per cent viruses known to be ''in the wild,'' constituting current, real-world viruses. VB staff tested FortiClient version 2.76 along with 25 other anti-virus products for their detection rates, lack of false positives and speed of scanning on the widely-used Windows XP platform, the release said.
