Coastal AP reels under heat

Vijayawada, June 20 (UNI) The coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh continued to reel under hot and humid weather conditions.

Meteorological Department sources told UNI the long-awaited rainfall continued to evade the coastal districts as the south-west monsoon had weakened.

The summer was still at its peak due to north-western winds, adding to humidity and the sky will remain clear for the next few days, they said.

With temperatures hovering around 40 degree celsius, people, especially school children, were put to hardship.
