BIS conducts raids at 13 premises

During the raids, carried out simultaneously in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Gujarat, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Orissa, household products were detected to have ''misused'' ISI mark on them, BIS Chief Vigilance Officer Anant Dhual said.

Mr Dhual said safety of consumers is compromised by such products.

In Delhi, the raids were conducted at the premises of HMN Pure Drop Water, which was found misusing the ISI mark on packaged drinking water of various brands, and Electric Irons.
