Assam youth found murdered

Kannur, June 21 (UNI) A 21-year-old youth, hailing from Assam, was found murdered with multiple injuries at his rented house at Palattupalam in the district today.

Police identified the deceased as Vijay Naik, an employee in a plywood factory at Valapattanam.

The youth employed in the factory for the last three years was living with other 15 workers from Bihar, UP and Assam.

When they reached the house for lunch, they found Vijay's body in a pool of blood with multiple injuries.

Police have registered a case and are investigating.
