Altair Engineering acquires Mecalog

Bangalore, June 20 (UNI) Altair Engineering, a leading global provider of technology and services, today announced the acquisition of Mecalog Group and its Radioss Technology Suite product of Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) software technology.

Altair President and Chief Executive Officer R Scapa said ''the Mecalog acquisition will add a globally respected and talented software development and sales organisation to the Altair enterprise. The addition of Mecalog's technology and industry expertise will further strengthen Altair's technology portfolio for product lifecycle management.'' Mecalog Chief Technologist and Co-Founder Francis Arnaudeau would join Altair as Managing Director of RADIOSS development organisation and would continue to oversee its software development and lead advancement of the technology, a company release here said.
