AI CMD V Thulasidas becomes IATA board member
Mumbai, June 20 (UNI) Air India Chairman and Managing Director V Thulasidas has been elected as a board member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
The decision to this effect was taken at IATA's 62nd annual general meeting held in Paris recently, a release issued here today said.
IATA's board of governors undertakes executive functions on behalf of IATA's member airlines, reviews and approves major policies (industry, administrative and financial) and takes action in response to specific requests from members.
IATA's board, which has 261 airlines as its members, will be headed this year by Singapore Airlines Chief Executive Officer Chew Choon Seng, the release added.
