Action demanded against animal vaccine supplier company
Bhopal, June 20 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh's Laghu Udyog Nigam has demanded legal action against Indore-based Nandini Laboratory Private Limited for supplying animal vaccine 'catamin' to the government-run Hamidia Hospital, the main referral centre in the state capital.
In an application to T T Nagar Police Station, Laghu Udyog Nigam Chairman Vipin Dikshit claimed that the Nigam was not responsible for the supply of vaccine.
The Nigam demanded that registering a case and legal action against the company.
The company had sent 199 vials of the vaccine through the Nigam to the hospital, which used 31 vials.
The state government blacklisted the company and cancelled all the orders. Two hospital officials were suspended and departmental inquiry was being conducted against one in this connection.
Meanwhile, Superintendent of Police Anant Kumar Singh said police had received the application, which was being examined.
Health Minister Ajay Vishnoi has claimed the vaccine had no adverse effect on patients. The medicine is used on both humans and animals.
