14-year-old rapes 2 girls, arrested

New Delhi, June 20 (UNI) A 14-year-old was today sent to juvenile home till June 24 for allegedly raping two minors in Kalyanpuri area of East Delhi early this month.

The accused, a class ix student, raped two girls -- aged six and eight -- on June 1 at his Trilokpuri DDA Flats residence where they had come to play, according to sources.

As there was no one at his place, the boy raped both the girls and also tried to sodomise them. He later threatened them not to speak to anyone about the incident.

The matter came to light after the elder girl developed some pain and told her motehr about the incident. Her mother later approached an NGO, 'Pratidhi', with whose help the case was registered at Kalyanpuri police station.

The accused has been charged under Section 376, 377, 342/511 of the IPC.

The boy was arrested and sent to juvenile home at Majnu Ka Tila till June 24.
