1 killed in scrap shop explosion

Vijayawada, Jun 20 (UNI) One person was killed on the spot and two injured in an explosion at a scrap shop in Governorpet here today.

City Police Commissioner Umesh Sharaff who visited the site told UNI the explosion occurred while melting scrap.

Mr Sharaff said CLUE teams had been pressed into service to ascertain the cause of the explosion.

The deceased was identified as Asiri Reddy (38). The body had been sent to the Government General Hospital for post-mortem.
