White tiger dies at Mysore zoo
Mysore, June 19 (UNI) A 12-year-old white tiger 'Rajan' died of injuries at the century-old Mysore Zoo, this evening.
Zoo Executive Director Manojkumar said Rajan had been ill for some time. The feline had been operated upon in 2004 for spinal cord problems. Though it had recovered, it had sustained an injury in the same place in October last year and was treated till January this year. The cat had been under medication till date after getting injured again on March 20.
Rajan was brought from Nandankanan zoo in Orissa ten years ago.
