Three of a family among five killed in accident

Rohtak, June 19 (UNI) Five people, including three members of a family were killed in a car-truck collision on Delhi-Fazilka National Highway No 10 near Bahadurgarh in Jhajjar district.

Police said the deceased have been identified as Pankaj Mahajan (35), his wife Ritu (32) and their son Pranaya (6) and Pankaj's friend Chander Prakash (32) and Pradeep (50), all residents of Delhi.

The accident took place late yesterday night when the car in which the victims were returning to Delhi from Sirsa collided head-on with a truck coming from the opposite direction.

All the occupants of the ill-fated car reportedly died on the spot.

Police has registered a case against the truck driver.
