Students' processions against poor water supply

Guwahati, June 19 (UNI) The All Guwahati Students' Union staged demonstrations by taking out a procession demanding adequate drinking water supply in the city.

Students of several schools participated in the procession, carrying earthen pots to drive home their point that the denizens would soon have to resort to bring drinking water in the pots as it was done in ancient times.

The students' body demanded clean water supply to all parts of the city.

People in various parts of the city have been alleging about the inadequate water supply even after repeated complaints to the concerned authorities to resolve the matter.
