Students demand clean water

Guwahati, Jun 19 : The All Guwahati Students' Union today took out a procession demanding adequate drinking water supply in the city.

Students of many schools participated in the procession, carrying earthen pots to drive home their point that the denizens would soon have to resort to bringing drinking water in pots as in earlier times.

The students' body demanded clean water supply to all parts of the city.

People in many parts of the city had been alleging inadequate water supply even after repeated pleas to the authorities to resolve the matter at the earliest.
