Sri Lanka Tigers say territory bombed by air force
COLOMBO, June 19 (Reuters) Tamil Tiger rebels said today Sri Lanka's air force had again bombed their northern territory, although there were no details of casualties.
The rebels on Saturday threatened to retaliate militarily if the government continued bombing after two nights of air strikes. The bombing ceased after a raid on Friday night. An air force spokesman said he had no details of any new attack.
''About one hour ago the bombers bombed somewhere in Wanni,'' said rebel media coordinator Daya Master, referring to the rebels jungle heartland of Wanni.
Aid workers in the rebel headquarters Kilinochchi said they had heard jets overhead, but no explosions.
