Sri Lanka Tigers say not bombed by air force jets
COLOMBO, June 19 (Reuters) Sri Lanka's Tamil Tiger rebels said they had not been bombed today, but government jets had overflown their positions.
Earlier, they had said bombs had been dropped on the rebel-held Wanni region. The Tigers have threatened to retaliate if the government restarts air strikes that ceased after Friday night.
''There were no bombs,'' said rebel media coordinator Daya Master. ''Our people saw two Kfir (jets) moving over our territory.'' REUTERS SHB VV1727
