Sony ties up with Avaya GlobalConnect
New Delhi, June 19 (UNI) Sony Broadcast&Professional Pacific Asia Company has teamed up with enterprise communication solutions provider Avaya GlobalConnect Ltd to market Sony's IPELATM range of videoconferencing and surveillance products in India.
''The agreement with Avaya GlobalConnect will help boost the nationwide footprint and expertise in deploying multimedia converged solutions in India,'' Sony Broadcast&Professional Pacific Asia Co Division Manager (Business and Communication Products Marketing Division) Rick Asahina said here.
Sony is strongly dedicated to building further the video over IP and emerging high definition video applications for education, healthcare and broadcasting industries under the IPELATM strategy, he added.
With addition of Sony's IPELATM range of products, Avaya GlobalConnect will be able to provide its customers a total solution in Video over IP and tap into emerging areas such as High Definition Video communications.

The collaboration is a step in this direction and will help us further consolidate our position in the IP solutions market,'' Avaya Global Connect Ltd Head-Business Unit (Teleconferencing) Vivek Porwal said.
Avaya GlobalConnect offers converged voice, data and video networks, contact center solutions, unified messaging solutions, and customer services. The company has strategic alliances with systems integrators such as IBM, HP, Servion, Cable and Wireless, CMC and Tata Infotech.
Sony India's Broadcast&Professional Products Division provides solutions for broad horizontal communications, AV/IT, ranging from broadcast equipment, videoconferencing and IP surveillance products and digital photo printers.
