Soccer world cup betting racket busted

New Delhi, June 19 (UNI) The Delhi Police have busted a betting racket on matches inf the ongoing soccer world cup, which was being run from East Delhi, with the arrest of four persons.

The four - Anoop Kumar, Pawan Kumar, Pradeep Kumar and Vikrant - were arrested from Mandawli in East District on June 17 while they were accepting bets on the Portugal Vs Iran Football match and the England Vs Sri Lanka Cricket match.

A Laptop, 12 mobile phones and one colour TV were recoverd from the four persons who were booked under various sections of the Gambling Act, 1955, police said.
