Sensex opens on a strong note at 9903 level

Mumbai, June 19: BSE Sensex today opened in the green up by 20 points at 9903 compared to the previous close of 9884.

Similarly S&P CNX Nifty too dopened in the green but is currently trading down by 32 points at 2857.70.

At 1205 hrs BSE Sensex is trading at 9782.46 down by 102 points on rising doubts in the minds of the Asian markets over North Korea's plans to test fire a nuclear capable missile and fears over rising interest rates in US, which are expected to go up by 25 basis points on June 28.

All the scrips on the Sensex were trading in the red, except Tata Motors, Hindalco, Reliance, Maruti Udyog, and Cipla, all up by 0.5 to 3.0 per cent.

Sectoral indices on the NSE are also trading low with CNX IT down by 7.14 per cent at 3628 points and CNX 500 down by 2.97 per cent at 2386 points.
