Sariska forest officials suspended following poacher's escape

Alwar. June 19 (UNI) Three forest officials of Sariska Sanctuary have been suspended following the escape of notorious tiger poacher Kalya Bavriya.

Ranger of Tehela range, Ashok Parikh, forestor Murari Lal and Forest Conservator Badrilal have been suspended as Kalya escaped when these officials brought him to the department from Alwar jail for questioning in several tiger poaching cases.

Kalya was brought to the deparment on Tuesday under production warrant. On Saturday morning, the notorious poacher was produced in the Thanagazi court which remanded him till June 18.

On Saturday night, Kalya made good his escape from jail premises in the forest department.

Ranger Ashok Parikh filed the report of his escape. The police has cordoned the area while the forest department was conducting searches in the forest, but Kalya still remains at large.

Chief Forest Conservator M L Daima and acting forest conservator and deputy forest conservator Rajesh Gupta had rushed to famous sanctuary on hearing the news.
