Rupee weak by eight paise; closes at Rs 45.92/94/USD

Mumbai, June 19 (UNI) The Indian currency today grew weak by eight paise to close at Rs 45.92/92 per US dollar, as compared to the previous close of 45.84/85/US Dollar.

Earlier, rupee opened at Rs 45.89/90/US dollar and in the mid-morning session traded at the same rate.

The six-month forward premia was up at 1.12 per cent and the one year premia was also up at 1.22 per cent.

The RBI fixed the reference rate at Rs 45.89/USD today.

Rupee also fared well against other currencies: Rupee vs Euro was up at 57.71, against pound sterling it was down at 86.67(84.80) and against yen it was up at 39.70(39.82).
