RSD demands bypoll ticket
Bhopal, June 19 (UNI) The Rashtriya Samanta Dal (RSD), which has forged an alliance with former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Uma Bharti's recently-constituted Bharatiya Janshakti (BJ), has demanded a ticket for at least one of two byelections in this state.
''My party is desirous of contesting either the Malehra assembly bypoll or the Vidisha parliamentary byelection,'' RSD state President and former MP Sukhlal Kushwah told mediapersons here today.
Claiming that the RSD has in excess of three lakh members in the state, he added that party units were operating at Indore, Ujjain and other places.
''Murder, rape, theft and dacoity are on the upward spiral in Madhya Pradesh. The RSD will soon launch a statewide agitation and the BJ's cooperation sought,'' Mr Kushwah said.
