Rs 40 lakh assets unearthed in raids, official arrested
Hyderabad, Jun 19 (UNI) Sleuths of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) unearthed assets worth Rs 40 lakh in two raids simultaneously on the residence and office of an assistant engineer at Khammam in Andhra Pradesh today.
According to an ACB release here, K Nanal Rao, AE (local administration) was accused of amassing property disproportionate to his known sources of income. His assets include 23 plots at Khammam, one plot at Hyderabad, three houses at Khammam, agricultural land at Mudigonda, one Maruti car, a bike, gold ornaments worth Rs 70,000 and cash of Rs 35,000 besides bank lockers, insurances, FDs, shares, investments, bank balances and documents worth Rs 1.5 lakh.
The accused was arrested and produced before the Special Court for ACB cases Hyderabad, the release added.
