Rich haul for BJP in K'taka Council polls
Bangalore, June 19 (UNI) It is celebration time at the BJP as the ruling coalition won four seats, in the biennial elections to the Karnataka Legislative Council from the six Teachers and Graduates constituencies.
The BJP retained the South-West Graduates and Teachers, North-East Graduates and Bangalore South Graduates seats. The other two seats -- South-East Teachers constituency and South Teachers seat -- were cornered by independents.
The elections were held on June 17 to fill three seats each from the Graduates and Teachers' constituencies. As many as 59 candidates were in the fray.
