Regional parties stmbolise corruption and loot: Das
Jamshedpur, Jun 19 (UNI) Jharkhand finance minister Raghubar das took a dig at the regional parties saying these parties symbolised corruption and looting and these parties were ''exposed'' time and again in many states.
Reacting to former Jharkhand Chief Minister Babulal Marandi's quitting the BJP and floating a regional organisation-- the Jharkhand Vikas Morcha(JVM), Mr Das said while holding a 'Jantadarbar' here yesterday ''everyone knows the role play by the AGP in Asom, the SP, the BSP in Uttar Pradesh, the RJD in Bihar, Haryana Vikas Dal in Haryana and the AIDMK in Tamil Nadu as all these parties were involved in corruption and financial scams involving crores of rupees.'' Mr Das alleged that Jharkhand Mukti Morcha(JMM) supremo formed the party to create a separate state but as soon as he got opportunity he sold the state for Rs three crore.
He said a "reign of terror" prevailed during nine-day Mr Soren's rule in Jharkhand.
He said the regional parites were 'devoid of internal democracy' as it was run by an individual and the people would be in 'danger' if such parties came to power.
About Mr Marandi's allegations of corruption prevailing in the government, Mr Das said if Mr Marandi could give substantial evidences against any minister or official, stern action would be initiated against the guilty. '' Why Mr Marandi could not see corruption, insurgency and looting during his two and half years tenure as the chief minister of the state.'' asked the minister sarcastically.
