Missing ULFA leaders' wives demonstrate before Raj Bhawan
Guwahati, June 19 (UNI) The wives of missing ULFA leaders today staged demonstrations in front of the Raj Bhawan here demanding the whereabouts of their husbands.
The women asked the government to disclose the locations from where their spouses had gone missing after they were picked up by the armed forces during Operation All Clear in 2003.
Top United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) leaders, including Achanta Baghphukan, Bening Rabha, Prakash Gogoi and Robin Neog, had allegedly gone missing since they were arrested by the Indian forces during the flush out operation in 2003, launched with the help of the Royal Bhutan Army.
The wives of the missing leaders had already sought judicial assistance on the issue.
