Mishra appointed as Regional Director CYP Asia Centre

Chandigarh, Jun 19 (UNI) Raj Kishore Mishra has been appointed as Regional Director for Commonwealth Youth Programme Asia Centre here.

Mr Mishra, an experienced IAS officer has served with several state governments in India and worked as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.

As a Regional Director, Mr Mishra will be responsible for administering the Commonwealth Youth Programme in Asian members countries like Bangladesh, Brunei, Darussalam, India, Malaysia, Maldives, Pakistan, Singapore and Sri Lanka.

The Commonwealth Secretariat established the Commonwealth Youth Programme (CYP) in 1974 to give young people aged between 15-29 the skills, confidence and avenues to create a better future for themselves.
