MCD Executive engineer suspended

New Delhi, June 19 (UNI) The Municipal Corporation of Delhi today suspended an Executive engineer in the department of environment management services.

Executive engineer Amar Singh was today suspended by MCD commissioner A K Nigam after he failed to provide satisfactory reply to the queries of Standing committee chairman Jai Kishen Sharma during his visit to the area, an official spokesperson of the corporation said.

Not only was Amar Singh absent during the standing committee chairman's visit but he also gave an evasive reply to his various queries, the spokesperson said.

Later, Mr Sharma told newspersons that Amar Singh had been placed under suspension by the Commissioner.
