Lightning claims four lives in Beed

Beed, Maharashtra, June 19 (UNI) At least four people were killed at two places in Kaij district due to lightning late this afternoon, as heavy rains accompanied by thundershowers lashed various parts of the district.

Acccording to information available at the district headquarter here, three people were killed at Bankaranja while one died at Kalab-Amba village in Keij tehsil.

Tehsil authorities have rushed to these places for panchanama and necessary formalities,official sources said.

Earlier, a 55-year-old person was killed due to lightning at Loni in Parali tehsil of the district on June 17.

The death toll due to the natural calamity especially due to lightning reached 20 during this last three days in Marathwada region with the four more deaths reported today from Beed.
