Kerala urges Centre to rollback prices of petroleum
Thiruvananthapuram, June 19 (UNI) Ruling out any waiver of sales tax on increased prices of petrol and diesel, Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan today urged the Centre to rollback the hiked prices which had brought great burden on the common man.
Replying to a Calling Attention motion by Mr P Jayarajan (CPI-M), he said Kerala was one of the worst hit States because of the recent hike in the prices of petroleum products.
Mr Achuthanandan said his Governmnt would take up the matter with the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, at the earliest.
