Injured fisherman shifted to Madurai for advanced treatment

Rameswaram, June 19 (UNI) Local fisherman Nambirajan, who was shot at and injured by the Sri Lankan Navy while fishing in midsea on the Indo-Lanka maritime border yesterday, was shifted to the Government Hospital in Madurai for advanced treatment.

He was taken in an ambulance from the Rameswaram Government hospital to Madurai.

Nambirajan suffered bullet wounds on his jaw and cheek.
