Hospital offers to treat traffic cops

Hyderabad, Jun 19(UNI) The government-run MNJ Cancer Hospital has offered to treat traffic constables who were constantly exposed to environmental pollution.

In a programme being taken up with GAIL's assistance, the hospital would eventually offer treatment to all poor people exposed to pollution.

In a statement here, Hospital Superintendent B N Rao said environmental pollution lead to minor health problems which, if left untreated, could cause cancer.

Mr Rao said the programme aimed to prevent cancer by treating traffic constables who were most exposed to the pollution.
