HDFC enters Limca Book of Records

Mumbai, June 19: HDFC Bank, one of India's leading private sector banks and a one-stop financial supermarket, has entered the prestigious and coveted Limca Book of Records for opening a record number of 14 branches in a single day in the National Cash Register (NCR).

The 14 new branches in the NCR are located at: Ambedkar Road, Indirapuram&, Vasundhra in Ghaziabad, M Block -GK2, R.K Puram, Shahdara, Mandakini, Chandni Chowk, Mayapuri, Sec 5 Rohini, Ajmeri Gate, Gole Market, Meera Bagh and Manesar.

Speaking about the entry into Limca Book of Records 2006, Mr Seshan Ramakrishnan, Regional North) Business Manager, HDFC Bank said in his statement here today,''We, at HDFC Bank, are proud that Limca Book of Records in their 2006 edition have acknowledged this new record of the maximum number of bank branches being inaugurated on one single day in one city - NCR.
