Haryana starts online counselling for technical courses

Chandigarh, June 19 (UNI) Haryana has launched an online off-campus counselling facility to provide better opportunities and campus placements to the students of various technical courses.

Launching the online counselling yesterday, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister M L Tayal said the government has decided to spend Rs 60 crore to strengthen infrastructure for technical education in the state.

He said the new system would be efficient, transparent and cost effective for the students.

Technical Education Commissioner and Secretary Ajit M Sharan informed registration for online admissions to all courses has started through the website www.tehadmissions.gov.in and it would remain open till June 30. The prospectus for all courses are available on the department website www.techeduhry.nic.in as well as on www.tehadmissions.gov.in.

The website is informative and interactive. Once a student registers himself on the website he will be allotted an ID and a password. After registration, there would be mock counselling for almost a week. During this time the student can apply in institutions of his choice and can see the respective allotted seats or institutions.
