Gold ornaments worth Rs 1.6 crore stolen from jewellery

Palakkad, June 19 (UNI) About 20 kg of gold ornaments valued at Rs 1.6 crore were found stolen from the Alukka's Jewellery on the T B road here.

The theft was noticed when the jewellery opened this morning after it was closed on saturday night.

Police believe that burglars got entry into the shop through the air-condition plant located on its backside.

Police have registered a case and are investigating with the help of fingerprint experts.
