Jamshedpur, June 18: Union minister of state for food processing Subodh Kant Sahay today castigated the Arjun Munda government for its alleged failure to curb Naxalite problem in Jharkhand and said the Centre was willing to provide all help to cope with insurgency.

Talking to newspersons here, Mr Sahay said although some other states were affected by the Naxalite menace, the situation was grim here.

''Naxalite is the main cause for socio-economic bankruptcy in the state and the situation in Jharkhand is worst'' he said.

He said the state also failed to implement many schemes and less than 30 per cent funds allotted by the Centre were utilised by the state government.

His ministry had allotted Rs 15 crore for setting up food park but the government failed to provide land for the purpose, he alleged.

Mr Sahay said the government also failed to create industry-friendly atmosphere in the state and despite signing of at least 42 MoUs with several industrial houses including Tata Steel, no project was yet to start due to lack of industrial and rehabilitation policies.

He lauded former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi for quitting the BJP to protest against ''the random corruption'' and ''lack of development in the state.'' But said the former BJP leader was yet to get full cooperation from his well wishers.
