Bangarpet records 6 cm rain

Bangalore, June 19 (UNI) Following is a Summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours here today.

Monsoon was active over South Interior Karnataka, however weak over Coastal Karnataka. Rainfall occurred at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.

Chief rainfall amounts (cm): Bangarpet 6; Mudhol, Chintamani, Mulbagal, Madhugiri 5 each; Joida, Sirsi, Devanahalli, Gubbi, Chitradurga, Kolar 4 each; Chikballapur, Srinivasapura, Turuvegere, Yelahanka, Bangalore AP 3 each; Kundapur, Bailhongal Gokak, Hungund, Hosanagar, Soraba, Humchadakatte, Kadur, Mudigere, Sidlaghatta, Magadi, Devanahalli, Harihara, C.N.Halli, Tumkur 2 each.

Forecast valid until Wednesday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at a few places over the State.

Forecast for Farmers: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka, North Interior Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka.

Outlook for subsequent two days: No significant change is expected over the State.

Local forecast for Bangalore city: Generally cloudy. A spell of rain/thundershowers likely towards evening/night.
