Baichung and 2 others to skip Goa camp

Panaji, Jun 19 (UNI) Baichung Bhutia, Tomba Singh and Kalyan Chouwbey will not attend the AIFF camp which is likely to commence on June 21 under new India chief coach Bob Haughton.

The All India Football Federation(AIFF) secretary Alberto Colaco told UNI that all the three footballers had given some reasons for not attending the camp, adding that he had not gone through their reasons.

The camp will be conducted at Chowgule college multipurpose artificial turf in South Goa.

A total of 32 footballers underwent medical test yesterday at Apollo Victor Hospital and Oceanic Hotel at Colva in south Goa in preparation of the Vancouver International football tournament and Asia Cup qualifying round. The test was drawn up by AIFF Sports Medicine Chief Dr Vace Paes, making a database of the general bio-data of the players, their technical skill, medical fitness and also physical fitness.
