Avocent to introduce products for Small, Medium business

Bangalore, June 19 (UNI) Notching up an impressive 450 per cent growth during the last four years in India, Avocent, a leading centralised management of enterprise data centres and branch offices, will next quarter introduce products for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

Avocent Senior Vice President for Global Branded Markets Dudley DeVore, talking to newspersons here today said India was being seen as a major growth centre for the company and with the introduction of products for SMEs, the growth was expected to go up further.

Avocent, which had its southern headquarters here and offices in the National Capital Region (NCR) and Mumbai, had recently opened its establishment in Hyderabad.

On setting up a software development centre here, Mr DeVore said the company had no immediate plans. However, it wanted to set up one at a later date.

He said Avocent sharply focused in areas of solutions for management of IT and Networking assets. The company's recent acquisition of Cyclades would offer it more opportunities in expanding the business in the linus and network infrastructure management space.

Avocent India Country Manager Monish Chhabria said the company had over 400 clients in the country and the clients' requirements had been increasing steadily year by year as more organisations realise the importance of connectivity and infrastructure management, which was essential to the success of a company.

Mr DeVore said the company was also set to acquire LanDesk to create a leading provider of ITinfrastructure management and security products and solutions.
