25 and 50 paise coins valid for all commercial transactions: RBI

Panaji, June 19 (UNI) Following receipt of a spate of complaints, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), has confirmed validity of 25 paise and 50 paise coins for all commercial transactions.

The RBI, in an official release here today, said the reports that the coins were not in circulation, had no basis.

They could be used in settlement of transactions in shops, business establishments, utility services and even public sector organisations and government departments, it added.
