Water level in Mettur 110.820 ft

Tiruchirapalli, Jun 18 (UNI) The level in the Stanley reservoir at Mettur across river Cauvery, was 110.820 ft, this morning as against its full capacity of 120 ft.

State PWD sources said the inflow into the reservoir was a meagre 794 cusecs and the discharge was 14,996 cusecs, from grand Ananicut in Thanjavur district. About 5147 cusecs of water was let out into the Cauvery river and Vennar channel, 1500 cusecs into grand Anaicut canal and 1514 cusecs into Coleroon river for irrigation, the sources added.
