Two more people killed due to lightning in Bengal

Bankura, June 18 (UNI) With two more deaths at Mondalkesar village in West Bengal's Bankura district during the past 24 hours the toll in weather related incidents in the past two days has risen to eight, official sources said today.

Two persons were burnt to death when lightning struck them at Chatna village in the district in the past 24 hours after storms and rains.

Earlier, six youths were killed when lightning struck a club in the tribal village. The youths were watching World Cup football on television on Friday night.

All the victims were tribals.
