Two maoists killed in encounter

Khammam, Andhra Pradesh Jun 18 (UNI) Two Maoists were killed in an encounter with police in the Peruru forest area in in Khammam district today.

Police said the two Maoists were killed when a special police party came across a Maoists group during a combing operation in Peruru forest.

When the Maoists did not relent to the police request to surrender, two of them were eliminated in the resulting encounter, while others fled away, police added.
