Sporadic rains in AP under weak monsoon

Hyderabad, June 18 (UNI) Rain occurred at a few places over Rayalaseema. Isolated rain occurred over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, according to a report from the Meteorological Centre here.

Venkatagiri Kota (Chittoor dist) recorded heavy rainfall of 7 cm.

The other chief amounts of rainfall recorded in cm are Palamaner (Chittoor dist) 5, Chittoor 4, Jurala Project (Mahabubnagar dist), Udayagiri&Vinjamur (both Nellore dist) 3 each, Srisailam (Kurnool dist), Tadipatri (Anantapur dist), Tenali (Guntur dist) 2 each and Atmakur&Rapur (both Nellore dist), Hindupur, Kanekal and Madakasira (all Anantapur dist), Kuppam&Punganur (both Chittoor dist), Narsampet (Warangal dist), Owk and Pathikonda (both Kurnool dist), Proddatur (Cuddapah dist), Sangareddy (Medak dist) one each.

Forecast and Farmers' weather bulletin valid until tomorrow morning: Isolated rain or thundershowers are likley to occur over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Rayalaseema.

Outlook for subsequent two days : No large change.
