Madurai, June 18 (UNI) Dalit Panthers of India (DPI) General Secretary Thol Thirumavalavan today urged the DMK Government in Tamil Nadu to spell out its stand on the Sri Lankan Eelam Tamils issue.

Talking to newspersons here, he said the stand of the state Government should be akin to that of the Centre.

Mr Thirumavalavan said a massive rally would be organised in Chennai on July eight to press for protecting the interests of Tamils in Sri Lanka. The alliance parties would participate in the rally, he added.

Asked how AIADMK supremo J Jayalalithaa would participate in the rally as her party's stand on the issue was contradictory to that of the DPI, Mr Thirumavalavan said accepting it or rejecting it was one's own wish.
