'Southern Empire' claims Colts Trial Stakes (Grade I)

Bangalore, June 18 (UNI) Favourite 'Southern Empire' (B Prakash up) won the Colts Trial Stakes (Grade I), the main event of the races held here today.

The winner is the property of Dr M A M Ramaswamy and Mr Zavaray S Poonawalla representing Poonawalla Racing and Breed Limited and trained by S Ganapathy.

In another event, S Ganapathy's ward 'Mystical' (B Prakash up) claimed Chief Justice Cup. The winner was owned by Dr M A M Ramaswamy.

Trainer S Ganapathy scored treble while Jockeys B Prakash and C Alford scored a double each, Punters had a field day as seven favourites obliged in a card of nine events.
